Iris van Straten (1992) is a painter based in The Netherlands.

In her work observations, studies and sketches to capture the spirit of nature are fused with fantasy shapes and an intuitive use of composition and color.

Working with acrylic paint in the base, layering oil paint over it, allows for a play between transparency and more rigid opaque brush strokes.
